Of Counsel:
Attorney Kathleen S. Shields has practiced exclusively in family law since graduating law school. Prior to going out in private practice, Kathleen gained extensive experience in family law matters as a staff attorney for a Kentucky family court judge.
Kathleen developed a passion for the nuance of language while obtaining her undergraduate degree in English Literature, a skill she uses to advocate for her clients. While at law school she was admitted to the Order of Barristers for her skills in oral argument.
Kathleen continues to be passionate about family law matters and their impact on her clients’ lives. She is admitted to practice law in both Kentucky and Ohio and concentrates her practice in domestic relations. She was selected as a Super Lawyer Rising Star in 2023, was recognized in 2025 for her passionate advocacy with a Nick of Time award from the Northern Kentucky Volunteer Lawyers, and is very active in the legal community.
